Testing the changes

Notes

  • Removed the backported upstream patches as they are included in 0.17.
  • Removed the dependency on gvim. astroid's default sample configuration specifies gvim as the message editor but it's not a hard dependency, the user can specify any editor to use.

I added it since it is used by default. You can always use ignorepkg= to bypass that dependency, although given the kind of person using astroid, I guess it is fine either way (with or without it as a dependency).

Otherwise, lgtm.
