  • I built this PR locally for my native architecture, x86_64
  • I built this PR locally for the following archs...
    • aarch64 (crossbuild)
    • x86_64-musl (crossbuild)

This PR also contains the following new dependency packages, which I'm happy to maintain:

  • python3-hidapi
  • python3-colorlog

python3-hidapi is marked as conflicting with python3-hid due to an unfortunate namespace conflict (qmk/qmk_cli#82)

Closes #19670

Looks like python3-colorlog has been added since opening this PR so I need to rebase

Just found this, and got me thinking that, after getting liquidctl in, it might be worth to get in also https://gitlab.com/coolercontrol/coolercontrol (Which has liquidctl has an optional dependency), since overall Void (And Linux overall) would benefit from more hardware-control tooling.

There's a distinct lack of tools to control case fans that coolercontrol would nicely remedy to.

An hypotetical coolercontrol package would need to come with its own service daemon like it was done here: #50027
