I am DONE with GitHub, can I still contribute to Flathub?

Hi,

I’m a privacy conscious OCD clean freak.

I’ve tried to sign up for GitHub twice using a VPN and a privacy focused email provider. I’ve been effectively shadow banned both times behind invasive 2FA.

Between this experience, and the (hopefully) growing social awareness of the constant, callous Microsoft Layoffs; the great Microsoft AI Grift; the great Microsoft Azure Palestinian Genocide Denial; etc, etc…

I find it very, very easy to wholly and completely reject

github.com/flathub

as a viable means of collaboration.

With that said, I am curious: is it possible to collaborate with Flathub without GitHub?

Specifically, I really just need to get patches to the right people. Synchronous or A-synchronous communication is helpful too.

There seems to be a mailing list, but it appears to be mostly for moderation, less so piecemeal collaboration.

I can stalk individual contributors and hopefully email them directly, but on the other hand I can already see the replies telling me to kindly piss off to some GitHub issue tracker.

I suppose in a perfect world, I post patches here, and nice people percolate said patches into PRs on GitHub.

You have to contact individual people and check if they accept patches over email and are kind enough to apply it on behalf of you.
