Thank you for the kind words :) The grab attention feature is not the core focus of the app. I don't plan on making it any more complex than it already is, or adding crazy configurations like to display a fullscreen alert (which was requested a bunch of times). I really don't understand is why people disable the native calendar banners:
I don't have a team of engineers to work on all of those features, so I have to focus on what really matters to me. |

I just want to shout a big THANK YOU for having the courage to make an app that makes my calendar items blink at me in the menu bar.
It has already probably saved me from being late or absent to a few meetings, and I'm sure before long it will follow in the footsteps of my Apple Watch and have the distinction of saving me from losing a job.
I think this "grab attention" feature's parameters can be opened up for users to tweak. For example it does work well for me and from what I've gathered observing it:
I can imagine some users may want more intrusiveness and others can make do with somewhat less. These defaults are really well thought out defaults though I gotta say.
I guess to better allocate our attention, it may be useful to be able to mark certain event start times as not being meetings (my example is my calendar event to remind me to put out the trash. I don't exactly need to do that at 6pm sharp, but having it visible in the menu bar is still a big win and I love it).
That way we can save the attention grabbing feature for the calendar items that really need it.
