It appears to be an intentional design choice.

I would remove it, at least with the Windows 11 theme.

It is intentional for perf reasons, there are a large number of people who use this on old laptops and, unfortunately, corners actually affect scrolling performance notably when you get to the low end

But can you add a setting for recent laptop that add rounded corner ?

Really? I would've guess that the light effects were heavier than the corner rounding effects. Thanks, good to know.

The Reveal focus highlight exists outside of the XAML layer as a single reused cached composition element, so it's a lot more performance friendly on both CPU and memory usage.

It is a pain to work with it though. I'm trying to fix some issues with it on another project, and it's not fun to work with it.
Apparently it's not great on Xbox, which is where it's being used 😢.
