The Angular Update Guide (in this case 16 to 17) states (in point 3) that

Make sure that you are using a supported version of Zone.js before you upgrade your application. Angular v16 supports Zone.js > version 0.14.x or later.

...but the ng update @angular/core@17 @angular/cli@17 command from point 4 updates zone.js for you.

Is there something I'm missing, or is point 3 redundant?
