What formats are Fortune Analytics products available in?
Fortune Analytics products are available via download in Microsoft Excel file format (files are created in Microsoft Excel). The file formats are compatible with both PC and Mac platforms. All files contain macros, and you may need to work with your system administrator to accommodate.
Can Fortune Analytics be imported?
Fortune Analytics products can be used immediately in most leading spreadsheet, database, and contact management programs. You can use Fortune Analytics products in any spreadsheet or database program that can import Excel files.
When are Fortune Analytics products updated?
Fortune Analytics products are comprehensively updated in concurrence with the annual publication of the applicable list in Fortune Magazine and http://fortune.com. The FORTUNE 500 and FORTUNE 1000 lists typically publish in June and contain company financial data for the fiscal year ended on or before January 31st. The FORTUNE GLOBAL 500 list typically publishes in the August and contains company financial data for the fiscal year ended on or before March 31st.
How does Fortune Analytics compile a list. What criteria have to be met?
All companies that file all or part of their financial results with a government agency are eligible for the FORTUNE 500, the FORTUNE 1000, and the FORTUNE GLOBAL 500 Lists. The FORTUNE 500 and FORTUNE 1000 lists include all U.S.-incorporated companies (public and private) operating in the U.S. and exclude subsidiaries of foreign companies incorporated in the U.S. The FORTUNE GLOBAL 500 list comprises U.S. and foreign companies, including government-sponsored entities. Companies on these three lists are ranked according to revenue.
How many U.S. companies are in the FORTUNE GLOBAL 500 list?
There are approximately 130 U.S. companies that appear in the FORTUNE GLOBAL 500 list. Most of these companies also appear in the FORTUNE 500 List.
Do you offer a list that extends beyond the FORTUNE 1000 companies (e.g. 1000-2000 companies)?
We do not currently offer a more extensive list of companies beyond the FORTUNE 1000 list. Our products are based on our lists as published in Fortune Magazine and http://fortune.com.
Do you offer your list categorized by industry only or also by state?
Fortune Analytics products are enhanced with easy sort buttons and market-sizing tools so that with the press of a button you can customize your research to fit your needs. While we do not offer a list specifically categorized by city, state, or industry, all of Fortune Analytics products are presented in Excel worksheets, making the data easy to sort and analyze.
Do you offer historical lists?

Do Fortune Analytics products include information on company subsidiaries or other company locations or contact information?
The financial information listed is on the company as a whole and contact information is for corporate headquarters. There is no breakout for company subsidiaries or other offices. Corporate headquarters phone numbers, addresses, and web site information are included. E-mail addresses for some executive contacts have been added to the FORTUNE 500, FORTUNE 1000 rankings, and to the FORTUNE GLOBAL 500 rankings when available.

When ordering online from Fortune Analytics, how can I be sure that my credit card number is secure?
We use three distinct technologies to provide secure credit card transactions over the Internet: 1) DigiCert. This confirms our identification. 2) SSL communication to your browser. This encrypts all private information being sent to us from you. 3) Braintree secure backend processing. This allows us to communicate your transaction to our bank as securely as possible.
At no time is your credit card at risk of being observed over the Internet.
How will I receive a receipt for my Fortune Analytics purchase?
When ordering online you will be emailed a printable receipt once the transaction has been finalized.
What is your Return/Exchange Policy?
PLEASE NOTE – All sales are final and no requests for refunds or exchanges can be honored.
USAGE QUESTIONS
May I use the contact information in Fortune Analytics product for a mailing, emailing, or telemarketing campaign?
The contact information in all Fortune Analytics products have been obtained from publicly available sources or from the companies listed. Your use of the contact information in the list is your sole responsibility and must be in compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
May I, or my organization, have multiple users when using Fortune Analytics products?
If you would like to request access for multiple individuals at your organization, contact us at analytics@fortune.com for our multi-purchase discount program. Each purchased copy of a Fortune Analytics product may be installed on only one individual’s computer. Duplicate copies of any Fortune Analytics product CANNOT be made.
May I post information from a Fortune Analytics product on my company’s web site or add it to my company’s existing database for resale?
Fortune Analytics products are the property of Fortune Media IP Limited and may not be used on your company’s web site without securing prior written permission. They may not be added to your company’s existing database and resold. Fortune Analytics products are the copyrighted work of Fortune Media IP Limited. May I use information in Fortune Analytics products for my school report or research paper?
