I hope this game is good, I’ve been a long time destiny fan, but with the state of destiny 2, some clan mates and I chose to take a step back. Destiny has always been a grind fest but it’s not fun when that grind you spent hours for becomes worthless at the change of an update. I would like for destiny 2 to die eventually I guess. Can’t beat a dead horse for too long. One feature I like about the game is the mobile factor. I hope the cosmetics, gameplay, community, and overall experience goes smoothly.

Bias review from an openminded person so beware
I enjoy this a lot so far, but I also play a lot of gacha games and a lot of destiny. I play dokkan, legends, (blazing at one point), and some older ones. Not to mention I have a total of 4k hours across d1-2 (I didn’t do sports in school). So I feel qualified to give my opinion. I really do love this so far. If they are careful with how they timegate release content then I believe if you enjoy either destiny (specifically destiny 1) or gacha games then you need to give this a shot. It is f2p friendly and enables emulation and controller usage. Its only day one when im posting this but I genuinely am enjoying my time with this game. Thank you NetEase for bringing that destiny 1 feeling that I have longed for from a destiny addicted fan <3
Could be worse, but also not worth the time.
There are some good qualities: getting some additional lore to supplement the main series, meeting Radegast (among others), seeing some new ideas… but there’s not much else, and the game gives me little reason to want to play it long-term.
I am an avid gacha player. I enjoy this model of game, so I won’t criticize the model, and I’m pretty experienced with the model.
Looking at the playable characters available, the customization options, and the progression system, I just have no motivation to neither buy nor save for anything. There’s little that I care to work towards like most gachas, no characters that I particularly care about or want to have, and nothing that makes me want to continue playing long term, as these games are designed to do.
Create more interesting playstyles, better, more memorable character designs, and offer more long-term progression goals, and it will be a lot better for the average player.
If you like Destiny and its lore, it’s worth a try just for the lore, but that’s still not exactly anything huge. Otherwise, it’s not worth the time.
